Why not live in sin?
Pets aren't so different, they too need security. They don't want to give you the best years of their lives, just to be dumped for a younger model in a few years. And though you can't exactly sit down and have a chat, marriage can transcend all boundaries. It's the ultimate way to prove that you care.
So go on, if you really do intend to love your pet until death do you part, then make it official. Marriage isn't outmoded or silly - it's your way of saying 'I do love you' to your pet and the world.

How do I get married?
First, if you haven't already done so, you must propose to your pet.
Then when you're both happy…
- Click on the link that says 'let's get married'
- Select a marriage package – Simple, big or biggest.
- Pay for the marriage via PayPal
- Fill in yours and your pet’s details to enter the wedding chapel
- Enjoy the ceremony and click to say ‘I do’.
- Have fun – you’re married! (Certificate etc will be sent by post.)

Why marry a pet?
Pets are great; pets are 100% unconditional love. Yep, you can look like the back end of a bus, have halitosis and herpes, but pet will always adore you.* Friends let you down, friends want their choice of TV, friends want quality time with their boyfriends. But furry ones don’t. And they don’t give a damn about your facial hair, or leave their dirty underwear around. Cat hair in your dinner – who cares?
* Refunds will not be given for uncooperative pets

Can I marry more than one pet?
This is for you to decide, however, I personally think it far better to commit bigamy than to have one pet feeling bitter and rejected, especially if your heart is split equally between the two.
Of course, if you secretly favour one pet, you can do one of two things. You can sit both pets down and discuss the situation honestly, or you can marry in secret*.

Can I marry a pet of the same sex?
Your pet’s gender is entirely irrelevant. All that matters is that you have love, respect and of course a $10 fee.

How do I know if he's the one for me?.
As with any marriage, you must be absolutely sure before you take this big happy step. Do you like the same music? Do you both want that little house in the country? If the answer to these questions is yes, then he's surely the partner you've been waiting for. If not, well why not marry anyway, at least you'll have something to moan about to your friends?

Do we have to be together a certain length of time?
As with any marriage, that's for you to decide. Some of our couples were together for years before marrying, but it doesn’t have to be so. Sometimes your eyes meet across the crowded pet shop and you just know that they're the one.

Will we carry on as before?
Of course, marriage can only strengthen your special bond. Your pet may blossom in the knowledge that you truly love him, but otherwise nothing will change. He'll still want his belly tickled as often as before.

What about the bad times?
There’ll inevitably be times when you don't see eye to eye. But hey, forget about the cat hair in the bath tub, they're still your number 1 buddy. If you're really devoted then you'll make it through, even if he does eats your Kylie Minogue video or laugh at your facial hair.

Can I marry a pet if I'm already married to a human?
This is something only you can decide. We can't be seen to encourage bigamy (although, of course, we do). Not all humans understand the bond that people have with their pets. If you're in this dilemma then sit down and have a good chat with your partner. If they really love you, they'll come round.
If not, well you're better off with your pet anyway, he always understands

What constitutes a pet exactly?
Whatever you like. It doesn't matter if you have a budgie, ferret, goldfish, cat or stick insect.
If you love it, we'll marry you.

How big will the marriage be?
That's entirely up to you. Your marriage should be as unique and special as you are, so we offer three different packages. If none of these are lavish enough for your special pooch then just give us a call. We'll of course be happy to help spend more of your cash.

Why did you set up this site?
The church has many rules, but we don't think you can regulate love. To some people, their pet is more important than their fellow humans. We think it's time this relationship was given the importance it deserves.

How should I 'pop the question'?
Choose a good time and a spot that's special to you both. It's no good trying to have a serious conversation with your cat when he's halfway out the catflap. And once your pet has accepted your proposal, take some time to properly go over the proceedings - they'll appreciate the gesture.
